Weddings are one of the most important days of the bride and groom’s lives. People confess eternal love and exchange vows, which is often a tear-jerker for all those involved. However, it is also a stage that often sees many hilarious and embarrassing moments. If anything, these moments probably make the ceremony more unforgettable. The bride and groom are often good sports who take it in their stride.
Aren’t grandparents the best? They feed you till you can’t eat anymore and make the best jokes. Imagine the tension in the room when he stood up after the priest asked if there were any objections. The feeling in the room must’ve been palpable, and everyone holding their breath. You could probably hear a pin drop in the hall. You’re waiting anxiously to find out why the 90-year old grandfather objects to the union. When he finally speaks he says he’s kidding. The groom must’ve been a very relieved man.
Middle-aged people hate cell phones. They hate them till they download Facebook on it. Then they also find it hard to put away their devices. Once they have downloaded the app, it is more difficult for kids to get their attention, ironically enough. This priest should learn what his ringtone sounds like before lecturing people on one of the happiest days of their lives. It does make for a hilarious wedding moment, however. The good priest might take a break from conducting wedding ceremonies, though.
Military Grade Hide-And-Seek
This is a hilarious wedding moment. It gets funnier the more you think about it. It’s also very cute to imagine a five-year-old playing hide-and-seek with a room full of marine officers. However, it’s hilarious to think that these highly trained individuals couldn’t find the little girl. The Marine Corps is one of the most respected branches of the US Military. It seems they may have met their match. Who knew all along that their ultimate weakness was a game of hide-and-seek?
When In Doubt
This has to be one of the cutest and most hilarious wedding moments there is. The people in charge of making her the flower girl should’ve been more clear about her role. She is four years old, after all. We wouldn’t have gotten this hilarious wedding moment if she was clear about her role. You can imagine two scenarios here, and both are funny. One is that the little girl panicked and just began to nervously sing happy birthday. The other is that she was convinced of what she had to do and sang the song confidently.
A Beautiful Wedding Moment
Mosquitos do have the ability to ruin outdoor events. They can also create hilarious wedding moments. Who knew? Imagine the disbelief of the crowd. It’s funny to imagine the crowd thinking that the bride smacked the groom because of something he said. Throwback to the moment in Friends when Ross takes Rachel’s name during his wedding ceremony with Emily. This pop culture reference may have been going through the audience’s heads. Unlike Ross Geller’s incident, the poor guy just had a mosquito on his head.
Toupee Or Not Toupee
This hilarious wedding moment seems like it’s out of a movie. Beach weddings also feel like they’re disasters waiting to happen. The sand, water, and wind coupled with all those fancy clothes everyone’s wearing equals a recipe for disaster. Toupees are also a bad idea on the beach, as this minister found out. He may not conduct any more outdoor weddings in his tenure. Or any weddings for that matter. He may also have to go out of state to ordain them. You don’t forget toupees eaten by seagulls on the beach easily.
I’m Coming Honey!
This is as heroic as it is a hilarious wedding moment. It’s also funny to imagine what the mood of the room would’ve been like prior to the groom making his entrance. The rumors about the groom getting cold feet and leaving the wedding would’ve started circulating. Breaking down the door and dashing to the wedding hall is a great way to dispel these rumors. It also makes for a great story to tell the kids. Is this how Superman marries Lois Lane? Probably not.
Stand Up Comedy
This joke is pretty amazing. It could even go down as one of the best wedding speech jokes of all time. However, the baker of the cupcakes ruined that. Could he not foresee this joke and change the order into a cake? Okay, that might be a bit harsh. Still a great joke. The funny part here is the man was so proud of his joke that he went with it anyway. He must have seen those awful cupcakes but went through with his punchline all the same. That’s determination.
Kids These Days
Fighting a kid for a bouquet at a wedding? Seems reasonable. It also doesn’t get much classier than that. Maybe the Maid of Honor worked very hard for months to make sure everything is perfect for the bride on her wedding day. She went to cake tastings, dress fittings, approved decorations, and all she wanted for months of work was a bouquet. What did the ten-year-old do? She just showed up on the wedding day and enjoyed the festivities she didn’t even arrange. Life is cruel.
This Is Sparta!
You’d think that a city heaped in so much ancient history and mythology would trademark its name or something. It begs to wonder how Leonidas and the three-hundred would feel if they knew that Spartas were just popping up everywhere. They might be proud, thinking that their epic stand against the Persians inspired cities to name themselves after their homeland. Or they might want these places to be more original. Nevertheless, this is what being unoriginal costs you. Wedding guests arriving at a city with the same name but in a different state.
Children Are Brutally Honest
You’ve got to admire children for their honesty. When you’re a child, a lot of things seem very black and white. When they’re told by parents to never lie it is also a very straightforward instruction. It’s difficult to explain to a child why they shouldn’t be completely honest in some situations to avoid being rude. Kids can’t understand where to draw that line. This wedding was one of those moments. It’s just the fallout of a moral lesson. However, this two-year-old’s candor may have destroyed a singing career and someone’s confidence. Still a pretty hilarious wedding moment, though.
Welcome To Jurassic Park
This has to be one of the funniest coping mechanisms to nervousness ever. Most people sweat or freeze or, in extreme cases, pass out. Not this legend of a ring bearer. It’s funnier to imagine the boy going down the aisle mimicking a dinosaur with the Jurassic Park theme song playing. It’s also hilarious to imagine the boy doing the T-Rex arms. Or maybe the boy wasn’t nervous at all and saw Steven Spielberg in the audience and wanted to impress him. He cast the wrong T-Rex in the movie.
How often does a moose crash a wedding? Not very often. That’s why this husband was well within his right to stop mid-vow and ask someone to take a picture of the majestic animal. However, the fact that he stopped mid-way through confessing his eternal love makes it funnier. The man’s attention span may not be the best, though. Especially since it’s the biggest day of his life. The moose was probably confused and wondered why the ceremony stopped.
The lack of clarity here makes this a hilarious wedding moment. Two groups of people on entirely different pages. That’s the beauty of it. Imagine three-hundred guests seeing guns in the hands of the bride’s family and panicking. They probably thought they were in an episode of American Horror Story. They all bolt for the door when they hear shots being fired. The groom’s family then looks at the guests confused and realizes that no one sent them the memo.
Rihanna and Jay-Z’s song “Umbrella” is fit for any wedding moment. The fact that the song played out of the blue makes it more hilarious. The song was also played unknowingly right before the kiss that sealed the ceremony makes it more iconic. It’s also fitting that the Best Man was the one who played it. The moment summed up the groom’s bond to his best man. Rihanna and Jay-Z may have won countless awards, but this was probably their proudest moment.
